Although I have captured many of Lucas’ messes or little signs that Lucas was around, and they are very dear to me, I don’t usually share them on our website. Kids Were Here has given me the excuse I needed to share a few in the future. My husband bought this train for my little one when we went on a train excursion earlier in the day. When we got back to our hotel room, he asked for his train and that is when we realized that it was missing! We went back to the park by the river and thankfully his little train was still where he left it.

My dear friend, Selena, celebrated her 35th birthday this year with her best friends from every era of her life. I felt very special to be included on that list of friends. Since several of her friends were coming in from out of town she asked if Marlaine and I would photograph her with her friends. She and Merryl started off the day with a makeover at the MAC store and then Marlaine curled Selena’s hair for her. Once her friend Yvonne arrived, we headed out to the Riverwalk for a few pictures before we all went out to dinner to meet up with more of her friends.
